The heart behind the barkery

Buddy Stole My Heart ❤️

I wasn't a dog person. Buddy came into my life by accident, and I never expected one curly-haired dog to mean so much to me.

Somehow, Buddy became my best little friend and the inspiration for a whole new chapter.

“I spent a lifetime baking for people. Then Buddy stole my heart and gave me a whole new reason to turn on the oven.”

Our original logo is here to stay, just as we created it, with Buddy at the center of it all.

A lifetime of baking, a new beginning

Our Story

I've spent much of my life baking and owning bakeries. After losing more than 100 pounds, I started looking at my own health differently. I still loved to bake, but I didn't need to keep baking sweets for myself. Then Buddy came along, unexpectedly, and gave that love of baking a new purpose: making something special for my four-legged best friend.

Sunkissed Barkery is our next adventure, inspired by Buddy and the Florida sunshine. We're working toward bringing thoughtfully selected dog treats to fellow dog lovers, with dreams of eventually baking our own recipes.

A Few Good Questions

Can I order treats today?

Not yet. We're preparing the business and confirming the requirements for selling pet treats in Florida.

Will the treats be homemade?

Our plan is to begin with carefully sourced treats, repackaged under our brand if permitted, and introduce original homemade recipes when approved. We'll always clearly identify our products.

Where are you located?

Somewhere in the Florida sunshine! We are a Florida-inspired small business, and we'll share pickup, market and delivery details when available.

Who is Buddy?

Buddy is our real-life inspiration and the only dog behind our brand. Read his story above!
